Anche quel grande babbeo (ma furbetto!) - il Dr Phil Plait - che si fa chiamare "Bad Astronomer" (e cioè il "Cattivo - nel senso di scarso - Astronomo") e che ha amici potenti nell'Ente Spaziale più grande e famoso al Mondo -, in fondo, è simpatico.
Sono tutti simpatici perchè, una volta che avete imparato a conoscerli, non è difficile capire il punto di vista/assunzione dal/dalla quale partono e, di conseguenza, la conclusione a cui arrivano.
Qual'è il loro punto di vista? Semplice!
Loro partono dal presupposto che TUTTI i Liberi Ricercatori sono degli imbecilli. Tanto imbecilli che non vale nemmeno la pena di stare a fare cover-up in maniera "tecnicamente adeguata".
E si. Perchè anche se noi, poveri imbecilli, riuscissimo a scoprire che la NASA (nonchè i suoi amici ed accoliti) mentono e "taroccano", nessuno ci presterebbe ascolto.
Nessuno ci darebbe retta.
VERO!
Verissimo, anzi. Ed infatti noi - questa volta grazie al GRANDE Dr Faccin - abbiamo scoperto una nuova - l'ennesima... - "manipolazione" NASA.
Non serve spiegarla: guardate il frame, guardate l'inset e la scoprirete subito.
Lo scopo? Non lo sappiamo.
La tecnica? Superficiale.
Il risultato? Perfetto.
Grazie alla disinformazione che, in perfetta autonomia, la Comunità dei Ricercatori Indipendenti - grazie anche al grande aiuto di cialtroni ed approfittatori - è riuscita, da tempo, a creare ed a consolidare, la NASA (e non solo) - oggi - può fare quel che vuole.
Può giocare sui colori (taroccandoli), sui profili (confondendoli), sui dettagli (nascondendoli), sui frames orbitali (sfuocandoli), sui frames superficiali (tagliandoli) etc.
La NASA, insomma, può fare tutto quel che vuole, impunemente.
Noi la "scopriamo", alcune volte (tante volte, come questa volta), ma a che serve? Chi ci ascolta? Chi ci legge?
...Lasciamo perdere.
Forse è davvero meglio - per tutti - andare a vedere e leggere, per esempio, le COLOSSALI scemenze che i furbetti sponsorizzati (da Magazines pseudo-specialistici) si inventano a proposito dei rilievi anomali (ed inesistenti) di Ares Vallis.
E a Buoni Intenditori...

In the northern part of the scene (Dx), much of the surface is covered with small boulders, most only 1 to 2 meters wide (1 meter is approx. 1 yard). In other areas, it appears that sand or dust has accumulated in depressions, forming light patches. These areas also show short sinuous or linear features, likely ripples formed from wind-blown material.
The southern part (Sx) contains an old valley, now mantled by later deposits, and has a pitted texture due to erosion.
It has been proposed that the Lowlands were once filled by an ocean. If that is the case, then several arcuate or linear features along the Boundary slope could be old shorelines - but this interpretation is still debated. The features have been modified by erosion, and in some cases appear to slope towards the Highlands.MareKromium
