Northern Spring (EDM - Natural Colors; credits: Dr Paolo C. Fienga - Lunexit Team) In this EDM, Streaks of dark Basaltic Sand have been carried from below the ice layer to form Fan-shaped Deposits on top of the seasonal ice. The similarity in the directions of the fans suggests that they formed at the same time, when the wind direction and speed was the same. They often form along the boundary between the dune and the Surface below the Dunes. Parole chiave: Mars from orbit - North Polar Features - Dark Streaks

NOTA: in questo caso ho operato la colorizzazione muovendomi sulla "base" fornitami dalla NASA. Inutile dire che, in Primavera, ad 80° di Latitudine, c'è brina o ghiaccio (o anche neve gelata) ovunque, con chiazzature rosa/arancio nelle (piccole) aree laddove il disgelo è più avanzato, con fenomeni di "dark windstreaking" sui cosiddetti "rilievi superiori" (diciamo i dossi e le asperità sensibili del suolo). Tutto questo per dire che, a mio parere, la colorizzazione NASA è sbagliata. Questa versione, invece, Logica e Buon Senso alla mano, dovrebbe essere quella corretta. - PCF
